4-Point INSPECTION

When homes approach 30 years of age, insurance companies often request that a 4-Point Inspection be completed for their peace of mind when it comes to insurability. This report is an overview of the general condition of the four major components of the home—roof, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing. Insurance companies want to make sure all of these systems are in good working order, are safe or if they’ve been updated because the home is older. Sometimes, this report is requested sooner than 30 years; it just depends on the insurance company policies.
